Emotion inducing design
VR has shown effective as mood-induction procedure to elicit different types of emotions. Awe is a complex emotion arising from the perception of and need to accommodate vastness.
In VR the topic of presence is connected to the concept of embodiment - the sensations that arise in conjunction with being in-side, having, and controlling a body especially in relation to virtual reality
Ideation phase
1# Bully Headquarter
2# Anti gravity ghosting
3# Eye gazing without blinking
4# Thought police control
In order to correlate emotions to our body, we created a map that illustrated where our feelings belong. We found out that contradictory feelings are perceived to originate from the same body area and they are context dependent.
Technology and our interactions with it have become too standardise dand stale. Further, technology is no longer just an optional addition; it has become a fundamental requirement. Our objective is to rediscover the fundamental human experiences that were overlooked by the iPhone and Facebook. We aim to foster genuine human connections that not only permit emotions but also encourage and celebrate the diverse spectrum of human feelings and expressions.
Design solution
Outcome: to increase the emotional intelligence through validation and self-expression.
How – 1st idea -Interact with objects in VR that transmit energy via a haptic vest via “vibrotactile” voice-coil motors.
How - 2nd idea - Experience the emotional side of the planets based on astrology.
A VR experience that offers individuals an im-mersive sensorial journey through space exploration. This technology enables users to delve into the vast expanse of space, fostering a deep connection by evoking emotions and providing a heightened sense of presence.
